Okay!!! So since I've been sick I've literally been eating EVERYTHING!!! I had everything bad you can think of....Mc donalds...Poutine....Ribs....Uhh Pizza...Chinese food! but in-between those bad foods I did eat some of my regular foods!
Luckily...My metabolism has picked up and I did not gain any weight even though I ate pretty bad. GREAT NEWS!! Im back to my regular eating now and feeling better, although I almost did pass out at the gym today...it wasn't too difficult but I think my Iron is low and that is why I felt sick ( this has happened before). Going to the docs to get a blood test just to make sure.
Anyways...going to upload some of the food I've made in the past few days and I will update more specifically soon!

Topping for my open faced Sandwich |
Okay, so almost better....Still in bed with kleenex and my puffer but my energy is returning! Today I was craving some pizza so I got one from the grocery store and had two slices for lunch...Delicious.
My dinner was inspired by moxies open faced tuscan sandwich which has grilled chicken on a flat bread with a Mediterranean topping. I made mine with a slice of toast, tzakiki sauce, grilled chicken and a cucumber, feta, sun dried tomato, red onion topping with a splash of lemon juice! It was delicious.
Im drinking a ton of water, almost a full gallon a day...if your wondering how much that is, its almost 8 500ML water bottles. AHH bathroom break!
Okay So here are my meals for today and I also ate a pear and I got some activa yogurt I'm going to have in about an hour.

Thats it for today...No gym for the rest of the week, going to recover 100% and go back hard on monday! Cant wait for that.
Actually! I got kinda hungry and ate two more slices of pizza...I find that when Im up late I need to eat again because I get so starving...So its almost 2am and I was like hey I need to record my extra pizza and I also had one truffle!
Throat is starting to hurt, so Im off to bed!!! I need to get better and back to my regular routine...cant wait til then! Goodnight!

Okay, So another day of still not feeling all that well, I mean how much mucus can one person produce in a day? Ugh. Still lack of appetite but forcing myself to eat. Today I barely ate anything but I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better day.
I've been drinking tons of water, but that means I have to run to the bathroom every 2 seconds. I have a bit of a headache and a hang over feeling- even though all I have been doing is resting and trying to get better. Anyways, I've unfortunately cancelled my Montreal trip because I have been feeling sick, but I need to get better ASAP.
The pic above is my breakfast and here is what I ate the rest of the day.

Mc Donalds Craving on November 15th 2011
So remember when I said that I want to eat everything that I do not normally eat when Im feeling sick? Well my friend Anita came over and we were looking at some old photos that I had and I had one from my boyfriends sisters wedding and we had stopped off at Mc Donalds that day and ordered 100 nuggets!
No, don't worry we didn't order 100 nuggets but we did go to Mc Donalds. I ate 5 Nuggets and half of a large fries....Not too bad.
The 5 nuggets packed a calorie punch of only 230 calories and the fries only 280...not bad. OH YA don't forget the sweet and sour sauce at another 50 calories.
So in total my craving was satisfied with a total of 560 calories. :) Feeling pretty good about that and I feel good after eating it. I was talking to Anita about this random feeling of eating all of these unhealthy foods when I'm feeling under the weather she was like "Ya, You feel like eating comfort food"- That explains it all!
Comfort food for me when I'm feeling sick seems to do the trick! Makes me feel a bit better!
Food Diary: November 15th 2011
Okay, So I'm still feeling under the weather and Ive been trying to drink more water today and take an extra dose of my puffer. My eating has not been great, but hey! I'm sick so I eat whatever I feel like :)
So far today I have eaten:
Breakfast: Some left over whole grain pasta and lean ground beef
Snack: Doubles ( west indian small snack - its deep friend and very unhealthy but its not too big)
Lunch: West Indian Chicken Roti Wrap (small size)
Dinner: I think I am going to eat some Chili with red kidney beans and a slice of toast
I also had one truffle after dinner.
Im heavy on the carbs and unhealthy food today but thats life. Once I'm better ill get back to my healthy eating. Thats all for now. Going to lay down and get some rest! lets hope tomorrow is a better day.
Food Diary: November 14th 2011
Okay so today I've literally been laying in bed all day with kleenex, a puffer and a glass of neocitran. I have either a cold/sinus infection now some stupid cough to accompany it! Anyways, when I'm sick I loose my appetetite and feel like eating everything I do not normally eat...NO clue why but The thought of chicken, veggies and healthy stuff makes me feel like I'm gonna throw up!
On that note my food diary for today will be limited and by no means healthy in anyway.
Breakfast: Banana and Toast
Lunch: Coconut Thai chicken rice
Dinner: Chili with lean ground beef
Snack: Cinnamon Apple Muffin
Thats all for today. I've cancelled my personal training for tomorrow due to the lack of energy that I have and weakness/cold symptoms/headache. Lets hope I recover Quickly!!!
Food Diary: November 11th 2011
Okay so for lunch today my friend and I decided to go to spring rolls although we were going to get pizza at first but I was really feeling for a Pho soup but for some reason they took it off the menu!
Instead I decided to order a Tom Yom Soup and I really wanted spring rolls and mango salad with grilled chicken. So I used to use this strategy before and I decided to start again.
Strategy #1:
- ask your waiter to pack up half of your entree before they even bring it out. THat way you can portion control your meals at restaurants. You may get a few weird or confused looks from your waiter but they will do it :)
Also my theory is, if you feel like eating something or if you have a favourite something just order it and eat half. Thats what I did with my spring rolls I ate one and packed the other.
Now i have another meal and I can give to my boyfriend for later or eat it later when I get hungry :)
Here are my meals for today:
Breakfast: Boiled Egg and Oatmeal
Lunch: Tom Yom soup, Mango salad and a Spring roll
Snack and DInner- no idea as of yet but I will find out later today haha
Because I am not feeling too well, think I'm coming down with a cold- going to skip the gym today and rest!
